Kahlil Gibran (Djubran Kahlil Djubran) was born in 1883 in Bsharri (Lebanon) and died in 1931 (New York). Poet, philosopher, and artist, he first wrote in arabic, where he earn his first renom and then also in english when he setteled in New York in 1912. His poetry has been translated into more than twenty languages. His drawings and paintings have been exhibited in the great capitals of the world. The Prophet and his other books of poetry, illustrated with his mystical drawings have won the love of readers all over the world.
